United Good Neighbors fund for Yamhill County reaches 70 percent mark Friday as Mrs. Guy Shumway paints sign on UGN barometer in U.S. National Bank mall. Chuck Baker, executive director of the Santiam Council Girl Scouts, looks on. Fund has reached $32662.15 according to latest figures. Mrs. Shumway with her husband chairmanned agri-business division of drive.
With reports yet to be received from the Newberg area and several other locations in the county, drive appears to be on way to meeting goal $46,900.
