Bike Shop Owner Sees 20th Year In Mac

Twenty years of business ownership in McMinnville is being Observed this month by Erling “Tommy” Thompson, owner of Tommy’s Bike and Hobby Shop.

Tommy started in McMinnville with his partner, Win Ware, who was then a Linfield student. In 1950, Tommy purchased the partnership after Ware graduated.
His hobby shop was located for ten years in the Douglas Hotel building at 711 3rd Street. Then in 1957, he moved to his present location, 624 3rd Street.
