Cloyce Smith, pictured above, is rightfully proud of the sale sale growth of Smith Cookie Company, McMinnville Industrial Promotions’ first building and property investment back in ’54. On wall are Per Capita Sales plaques awarded by Archway Bakeries. The local firm won last year and this year the State of Oregon, which the Mac firm serves, again was adjudged the grand winner among the 17 Archway outlets.The growing sales pattern has necessitated a third major expansion ($160,000) of the plant which has 35,000 square feet of production space . . . a big jump from the mere 5,00 square feet it started in. Included in the new expansion program are 2 bulk storage syrup tanks, 2 bulk flour tanks and 1 bulk Sugar tank. A colorful metal building soon will cover the 5 new sparking white tanks.
