Speaking to persons who attended the seventh annual meeting of the Yamhill County Health Council Tuesday at Linfield College is Mrs. James Craig, chairman of the council, while Terri Adler, star of the outstanding film on treatment of emotionally disturbed children, Warrendale and James Craig, McMinnville attorney, sit at left. Miss Adler flew from British Columbia to attend the meeting along with a staff member of Warrendale (now Browndale) who discussed the film and answered questions. The Family Guidance Service, headed by Alan Marek, program director, conducted 2,233 child and 1,091 adult interviews in 1968. The clinic is a highly skilled service requiring adequate funds for operation, a spokesman said. lt sees a need for expansion of services to include marriage counseling, drug and alcoholic treatment, and general adult outpatient services. Funds come from the Yamhill County General Fund, Board of Control and Clinic fees.
