Temporarily set up in the old R&R body shop on Lafayette Avenue is the new Consolidated Metals firm which is now producing fabricated aluminum siding for the mobile home and travel trailer industry. Firm will be at the temporary location for about two months until its plant is completed on Riverside Drive north of McMinnville. Above, Doug Oliver, foreman, pushes button for "crimp line" to start which feeds siding into flattening machine and is crimped by (below) Doyle Kennedy. When plant is completed, firm will also fabricate mobile home and travel trailer chassis.
