Residents of McMinnville and other communities in Yamhill County awoke Monday morning and found themselves snowed in, in some cases, as temperatures dropped to near zero and nearly seven inches of snow fell in the area. Motorists are advised to carry chains as more inclement weather is expected in the week. Several firms closed up shop Monday and Tuesday in the county because of the weather. Only two accidents, both minor were reported in the McMinnville area, both in the city of McMinnville.
