Veteran Of Four Wars--Memorial Day services Tuesday at three McMinnville cemeteries saw homage paid to the nation's war dead by area citizens, including veterans of four wars involving the United States. Representing veterans from these wars Tuesday were (front row, left to right) George Manning, last surviving veteran in Yamhill County of the Spanish-American War; Al Burke, World War I; Stan Christensen World War ll; and Steve Trunde, Korean War. Others (left to right) are Ralph Rorabaugh, Jay Prather, Bill Russell, Fred Read and Vincent Brentano. Christensen is commander of the McMinnville American Legion post and Brentano heads the city's Veterans of Foregin Wars group. Memorial Day rites were conducted at Evergreen Park, St. James Catholic Cemetery and the Masonic Cemetery.
