Discussing trophies for the upcoming McMinnville Elks Lodge Age Group invitational Swim Meet are (left to right) Bob Gregson, McMinnville Swim club coach, Dr. J.C. Manning, Elks Exalted Ruler, and Larry Wallace, McMinnville Swim Pools manager. Invitations have been sent to 23 swimming teams from Oregon and Washington to attend the big Elks swimming meet on June 10-11 at the city pools. The invitational meet would bring approximately 300 young swimmers into the city in what could be the start of an annual event.
