$1000 Winner--Receiving a check for $1000 is Mrs. Rosa York of Rt. 1, Box 3, Carlton, winner of one of 40 Lenten drawings sponsored nationwide by Star-Kist Foods, Inc. Presenting the check is Philip W. Hollander of Portland, representative for the Star-Kist company, while Jim Godwin, Manager of the McMinnville Safeway store where Mrs. York purchased the can of tuna fish to send the label for the contest looks on at left. Mrs. York said the $1000 would come in "quite handy since her husband has been confined to a wheelchair for three years and unable to work. Presentation was made Wednesday at the McMinnville market.
