‘Special’ Mac Visit Brings County Blood Quota
Volunteer workers and last two donors have a cup of coffee after seeing Yamhill County reach its Red Cross quota for the first time after a special Red Cross visit Friday in McMinnville. The 1961 quota of 1260 pints was reached when the last two donors (seated) Mrs. Dick Menefee donated the 1259th pint of blood and B. A. McPhillips topped the year off with the 1260th bottle of blood. Standing (left to right) are Jack Coleman, executive secretary of the county Red Cross chapter, Mrs. Bobbe Nicoll, Mrs. Lucille Wilcox, Mrs. Louella Heringer, Mrs. Roy McCourry and Red Cross nurse Carol Sydow.
