Winds Curtail Drag Speeds
Drag Race Action -- Trophy run in the B Modified Roadster class Sunday at the McMinnville Airport drag strip saw this runoff between Ken Beebee of Portland (left) and the Kalivoda-Hamlin car (right) of Seattle. The DeSoto powered Kalivoda-Hamlin rig, with a top time of 121.62 miles per hour, edged out the Beebee’s roadster, which is powered by an Ardun Ford flathead.
