Bean picked by the mechanical picker at his farm near Dayton are examined by L.S. Lorenzen (left). The mechanical picker went through the 15 acres of wax bush beans thoroughly cleaning the bushes. Holding the stripped bush is Bill Stafford, field representative of a large food packing firm in Hillsboro which contracted for the bush bean crop from the Lorenzen farm.
