Cecil Harrison, Sheridan Fire Chief, looks over one of a pair of walkie-talkies purchased recently by the McMinnville Fire Department for use in communications on grass fires or between firemen in a building and those outside. The units have an output of 1.4 Watts and a range, under favorable conditions, of several miles.
