In summer sunlight members of the family of the late Alves Apperson and Daughter of the American Revolution gather June 24th in the Masonic Cemetery for the unveiling of a DAR marker being placed on the grave. Mrs. Apperson organized the DAR Chapter in the 1920s and was the second person to be DAR regent of the State of Oregon. Removing the veil is Mrs. Apperson's granddaughter, Mrs. Richard Miller of McMinnville, who was accompanied by her son, John; (first row, left to right) Mrs. Clarence Bryan, Yamhill Chapter chaplain; Mrs. Apperson's sisters, Mrs. Hugh Williamson and Mrs. William Dielschneider, both of Portland; (back row, left to right) Mrs. Jessie Powell, local secretary; Mrs. lvan Spicer of Eugene, State Regent, DAR; Mrs. Letha Apperson, daughter-in-law; Mrs. John Y.
