GRADE SCHOOL WINNERS of the McMinnville Women's Garden Club conservation contest honored by women of the club at Monday’s meeting are (standing behind) Cathy Crumbley, first prize winner of the "How to Plant A Tree" essay contest, a fifth grade student at Memorial School; (left to right) Sara Steele, Columbus School fifth grader who walked off with top honors in the poster contest; Kathy Richardson and Christy Day, Cook School fifth grade pupils who placed second and third respectively in the poster division; Joanna Hoem, Memorial School sixth grade, second place winner for her essay; Mrs. Milo Wold, club president, and Miss Minnie Trullinger, conservation chairman. Honorable mention for poster went to Nancy Docekal, Judy Naley, Deborah Sweeney and Marsha Gildner. Displayed on the table in the foreground are items brought from Europe by Mr. and Mrs. Jay Folberg, who spoke to garden club members about their travels.
