Troop 537, St. James School, have been collecting clothing and toys to send to an orphanage run and operated by the St. Vincent's schools system in Ban Me Thout, the Provincial Capitol of Carlac Province in the Republic South Viet Nam. There are 26 girls from six months to 8 years old and about a dozen boys whose ages average six or seven years old. The idea was derived from Mrs. Gloria Carl of McMinnville, who has already sent about 14 boxes of clothing on her own initiative. Pictured here are, (l-r, bottom row) John Carl, Greg Nordin, Mark Carl, Paul Miller and Tony Schmidt; (back row) Mrs. Gloria Carl and Patricia Carl.
