McMinnville’s Annual Christmas Lighting Contest, sponsored by the Walnut City Kiwanis Club,
drew 24 entries this year, according to Chairman Jon Lewis. Judging took place Monday night by Walnut City Kiwanis members Jack Beu, Don Boudon, Lee Perry, Jim Beard, Lewis and Laurel Adams. Accepting the first place gold plaque award in the over $100 (decoration cost) category was Mrs. L.J. Cuc, of 449 W. 18th, who said her husband “Did all the work". Presenting it were Beard and Lewis. House, [shown in second picture], featured nativity scene, deer in window beside white tree, a decorated basketball backboard,
Santa and reindeer, and lights.
