Local Woodworker Builds Top Ship Models
Don Schmidt kneels by his model of the USS Missouri which he built from a kit. The 56-inch long ship is of balsa wood construction. The transmitter that he hold in his right hand is the one which controls the Missouri. The smaller transmitter (by his left knee) is used for the plastic models.
