Yamhill County Juvenile Director Gordon Welch points out the lodge to be used for a Juvenile Group home car facility located at the end of Baker Creek Road eight miles west of McMinnville. Yamhill County commissioners (l-r) Morris Majors, Rudy Schaad and Charles Teegarden view the facility. Plans are to open the home Oct. 1 under the sponsorship of the Department of Vocational Rehabilitation, the Division of Correction and Polk and Yamhill counties, who will use the area. The home will have a capacity of 10 youths. Land was donated by the Willamette Valley Lumber company several years ago.
