A chance meeting between McMinnville Chamber of Commerce Manager Pete Beall and builder James Cameron recently resulted in transplanting 63 trees to Michelbook Country Club. Supervising th4e start of transplanting at 18th and Hembree, where Cameron will build a house, are (l-r) Clair Meisel, of C.C. Meisel Company and president of MCC, who donated some of his company's equipment to do the job; Jack and Bob Squires of Squires Construction company, who also donated time and equipment and Clarence Caughran, chairman of the city Beautification Committee. The “gold mine” of trees included 39 sequoias which have been planted around the club golf course. Cameron was undecided on what to do with the trees until Beall met him in a bank and suggested they be transplanted to the local club.
