Progress and bulldozers ended the life of McMinnville's first hospital this week to make way for a $1 million expansion of McMinnville Hospital. A long-time clinic and then nurses home, the old building became the city's first medical center about 1915 under famed pioneer Doctor E.E. Goucher. In recent years it has served as office area for Dr. A.G. Noble, who moved Friday to offices at 207 Eighth Street. Wednesday (below) bulldozer power took final toll on one of the community's historic landmarks.
