First presentation of the Art Morton Memorial Trophy for the most inspirational baseball player on the McMinnville High School Team was presented Wednesday night to Mike Smithey at a Spring Awards Meeting. Shown with the trophy, awarded by team vote, are (l-r) Coach Scooter Rich, Smithey, Jerry Morton (whose father, Art, was a supporter of baseball in McMinnville for many years), and Coach Perry Stubberfield.
