Inserting a Memorial Poppy in the lapel buttonhole of McMinnville Mayor Norm Scott is Minnie Jensen, chairman of the American Legion Auxiliary sale, while ready with her Veterans of Foreign Wars Poppy is Ruth Mitchell, VFW Auxiliary chairman. Mayor Scott had completed his signature on the proclamation urging all persons to buy the poppies when representatives of the two organizations are selling them in McMinnville Thursday and Friday and to wear them, especially on Memorial Day.
