Estimated crowds at the auction Saturday reached 400 people during the day. Auctioneer Dick Rice (standing), along with Wilbur Rice, Les Leach and Dean Laube contributed their services for the event, which raised $3000 for the Dayton High School Stadium Fund, $1000 more than the expected amount. Items sold ranged from various junk sold for 50 cents to an International KB-S truck which brought $875. Ground work for the proposed stadium is expected to start next month.
