State Finalists--Representing Walnut City Bowl of McMinnville in the State Championship Junior Boys Tournament held in Portland Feb. 25, were Gene Stebbins, left, and Marshall Franklin. Gene rolled a 623 series to place first in the Junior Boys’ Singles. He did it with a sprained finger and a borrowed bowling ball and it was the highest series he has ever bowled. Marshall placed fourth in the Senior Boys’ division with a 508 series, fourth behind the winning 701 top score. The team was coached by Laiel Stebbins.
