Fascinating fourth graders at Columbus Grade School Friday afternoon, Kinuko Horiuchi, a Linfield College freshman, spells English words in Japanese for the youngsters. Miss Horiuchi visited Mrs. George Benedict's classroom as part of a social studies unit on Japan. She sang, played an instrument and told the children interesting facts about her homeland. She has been in the United States for two years and resides in Kirkland, Wash. Mrs. Benedict said she was “the best speaker we’ve ever had since I’ve been here.“
