Common sight at the McMinnville Post Office this week patrons lining up at the stamp window. Many people still had a supply of five stamps and requested one cent stamps. The new postage rate went into effect Jan 7, setting first class mail rates at 6 cents and air mail at 10 cents. Postal officials temporarily rationed smaller denominations until a future supply was rushed in from Portland Wednesday.
