Jack Squires, McMinnville contractor, supervises the installation of one of three 5,000 gallon water tanks in deep pits at the future home of the Mayfair Plaza Shopping Center on Highway 99W and Evans Street. The tanks are part of a new “heat pump” system that will provide heat in the wintertime and air conditioning during hot months for the stores to be located in the center. Mayfair Plaza officials have indicated that in addition to the Mayfair Market the center will house a laundromat, Sprouse Realty, Bakery, Save-On Drug Store. Present Mayfair building will be taken over by the Oregon Outdoor Store.
