May Day activities at Linfield College were started Saturday morning with a parade through Mcminnville. Included in the center picture is Queen Joecille with her court, Leila Norris, Mildred Edquist, Rachel Ballinger and Thelma Watson. The Daughters of Tradition followed on the city fire truck and pictured here are Evelyn Meserve, Louise Hermanson, Elaine Latrell, Mary Lou McLain, Marge Loomis, Margaret Cook, Alys Jeanne Fink, and Shirley Boese. Decorating the car on the left are the girls from the Phi Beta Mu and include Pat Jones, Rose Mary Taggart, Catherine Holmis, Marge Jones, Florence Canzler, and Mary Thomas. Following the Parade, the students returned to the college campus where Queen Joecille reigned at the May Day Program with the planting of three trees and other festivities.
