September 10, 1957 altbr/ More for the money will be received by motorists when they use these parking meters in the city's new parking lot on Third Street between Adams and Baker Streets. The new meters offer parking for two hours for five cents and four hours for a dime. They do not accept pennies. The area is the cityrsquo;s first metered parking lot and opened officially for the first time today. Parking was free before meter heads were installed. Placing one of the new, streamlined meter heads on a post in the lot are Police Chief Roy D. Brixey, left, and Patrolman K. L. Sayles.
