4-16-1957 9776br/That check crossing the counter at the First National Bank of Mcminnville means that the Yamhill county soil conservation district has clear title to a road grader it purchased last summer for use in drainage work throughout the county. James H. Stanard, vice president of the bank, left is handing the cancelled note to Stanley Christensen, chairman of the SCD board of supervisors, as Frank Geisler, treasurer, passes over the check. The grader was used last summer and fall for grading ditches and sod waterways and for leveling fence rows which had built up. SCD cooperators pay $1 per hour for use of the grader.
