May 2, 1957br/Trying their hands at one of the cityrsquo;s fire trucks, these McMinnville High School students participate in the Elks youth activities day program in which the city government is taken over by youngsters. Priscilla Prouty takes the wheel of one of the fire trucks at left as Jeff Kizer stands by to give instructions. Miss Prouty served as a city councilman for the day and Kizer was fire chief. They were among 14 students who attended a banquet with city officials in the Elkrsquo;s hall, then took over government of the city at city hall.
