February 6, 1957br/More than 50 Farm Bureau members from all Yamhill County centers attend a banquet in the Palm cafe to help form a new center for the McMinnville area. The center was made possible by a membership drive which added 25 new members to this area, 16 of whom attended the first meeting. Selected to represent the center at Farm Bureau state commodity meetings were Wenton Redmond, livestock; Bernard Turley, dairy; Harry Wicks, poultry, and M.E. Toliver, field crops. A state meeting has been called Thursday and Friday in the Senator hotel in Salem with discussions of poultry, dairy and livestock Thursday and field crops, fruits and vegetables Friday. Three or four similar meetings are called annually.
