January 9, 1957br/Studying in the Library at McMinnville High School and at home was part of what aided these two seniors, Gordon Baty, left, and David Barton, win places among 7500 finalists in the National Merit Scholarship corporation competition for more than 700 four-year college scholarships. They are the sons of Mr. and Mrs. Forrest S. Baty, 1527 East 10th, and Mr. and Mrs, D.W. Barton, Rt. 3, McMinnville. Both are taking the college preparatory course.
