September 18, 1957br/Standing on a barricade, Police Chief Roy D. Brixey removes a cover from one of the directional signs of the new Adams Street one-way couplet as the highway opens to traffic. Barricades were removed and signs unveiled at 8 a.m. today. Helping Brixey is Ross M. Harris, highway department resident engineer.
