Senate President Boyd Overhulse of Madras was to be arrested in company with a Dayton driver when he arrived in the Yamhill county community as a honored guest at a banquet honoring Dayton high school basketball and wrestling team members, The plot fell apart, however, when Police Chief Jim Zupo, without knowledge of his fellow plotter, become the driver of Overhulsersquo;s car rather than the arresting officer.
