The old steel bridge which formerly spanned the Yamhill River at the Booth Bend Road lies in the water in first stages of dismantling. The bridge, which has been closed to traffic for 15 years will be cut into small sections for junk. It is about 300 yards from the point where Booth Bend road now ends and is barely visible from the street. Sold to a Portland junk firm by Yamhill
County recently, the bridge was pulled from its piers with a bulldozer and will be dismantled with a torch.
