Number One family membership ticket to the new year-round swimming pool is given to Ralph Wortman, a long-time collector of “first issues” as his brother, Frank Wortman completes an application blank for purchase of another ticket. Making the sale is Rex Haynie, chairman of the family membership drive. Ironically, the tickets purchased by the Wortmans are first steps towards a dunking in the new pool for Frank Wortman. If Haynie sells 500 of the family memberships, Wortman will be thrown into the pool. Haynie will get the dunking if he does not reach the goal by opening date of the new pool early next month.
