Last Yamhill Covered Bridge Being Replaced

LAST COVERED BRIDGE IN YAMHILL COUNTY--This landmark of a past era is shortly giving way to a more modern structure crossing the north fork of the Yamhill river at Fairdale. New bridge will be located near the present span. Standing on the bridge ls Elmer Hurlbut. He helped erect it in 1917 and is also working on its successor.
