MAYOR RUDY WINDISHAR, chairman of the McMinnviIle Christmas Ship committee, starts out the Iocal campaign to raise $5000 for the purchase of 10,000 pounds of milk for hungry children in Europe by handing 8 check for $100 from the Home Laundry to his co-chairman, Ed Younger. Mrs. B L, Crossgrove and Sidney Taylor, in charge of the businesses contributions, look on, Mrs. Crossgrove helped distribute the empty cans of powdered milk to local business houses and churches She will collect the “milk cans” at the end of the drive January 1. Milk is being furnished at less than wholesale prices by the Farmers Cooperative Creamery and Nestles Milk Products lnc. Checks should be made payable to Christmas Ship Committee and mailed to the McMinnville Chamber of Commerce.
