PARKING METER TAKE--Packed in the bags above are $2150 worth of pennies and nickels taken from McMinnville parking meters in the last two and one-half months. The pennies, $1650 worth. are in the stack at right while $1560 in nickels are packed at left. The coins were shipped last week by express to the Federal Reserve bank in Portland. "lf this wasn’t done, we wouldn't have room to store all the pennies and nickels the meters being in." commented Jake Wortman, left, assistant cashier of the First National bank.
