Pictured above standing in front of the club’s two light planes are 11 of the 30 members of the Flying Macs flying club. The club, organized late in 1945, has grown in size to the point where it’s members are considering purchase of a third airplane. The plane at right is the group's new Commonwealth Skyranger which was purchased through Bob Earle while at left Is the nose of the club’s first plane, an Aeronca Champion, purchased from North Pacific Air service. Delivery of the Skyranger was accepted in New York recently by Dean Johnson, club president, and Warren Brown, member, who flew the craft across the nation to McMinnville. Members shown from left to right are: W. O. Johnson, Dr. A. D. McClain, Eldon Walker (club flight officer), Maynard Cutshall, Dean Johnson, Niel Kluckman, Harold W. Ryals, Bruce Chalmers, Warren Brown, Lee Davis and Ralph Wortman.
