1943-9-9, Fire Department's Booster Wagon Fails to Make Turn, "The McMinnville fire department's booster wagon, used for rural fires, overturned last Thursdayen route to help battle a blaze which destroyed 200 tons of cut hay and the $10,000 barn on the Glen Macy farm north of the city. The accident occurred when the brakes on the vehicle locked and the driver, Assistant Fire Chief Roswell Rossner, was unable to turn on to the Macy farm road. Rossner was given medical treatment at the McMinnville hospital for cute and bruises."
