A new bucket elevator is moved into place with a crane beside a bulk bin which recently was installed at McMinnville Concrete Products, 2115 McDonald Lane. The three-ton 40-foot elevator and bin are part of a gravity feed concrete mixing system used in the production of building blocks. The new equipment replaces a previous method of mixing concrete by hand which supplied material at only half the capacity of the block machine. Eventual production will be 480 blocks an hour.
