Brass pole at McMinnville fire station holds strange fascination for youngsters from Adams school--especially when Fire Chief Ivan Pearson slides down from the floor above. The second graders from Mrs. Ruth M. Olson’s class toured the fire station Tuesday in conjunction with class study of “community helpers.” The children had learned about various equipment used by firemen and kept Chief Pearson busy answering questions.
