1956-3-16 Kiwanis Aids Pool Fund

First Major Contribution to the "Save our Swimming Pool" drive is made by Roy Mahaffey, secretary-treasurer of the McMinnville Kiwanis Club, as he hands $2,100 in U.S Savings Bonds to James Stanard, vice-president of the First National Bank of McMinnville which is acting as escrow agent. The drive was organized to raise the $14,000 difference in the cost of the swimming pool and the $175,000 voters have authorized for the project.
