1938-9-8, Three Couples Take Vows at Impressive Triple Ceremony,
Unprecedented, impressive, unique was the ceremony in McMinnville's St. James Catholic church when a crowing chapter was written into Yamhill county's marriage history with a triple wedding, featuring three members of the Herman Bernards family of Carlton. Before a flowed-banked altar priests officiate at the ritual which joined Maurice Herman Bernards and Miss mark McGanty, Clarence Brian and Irene Margaret Bernards.
