"No more mufti for Police Chief Ed Peterson, left, or Night Officer H.E. Carr, now that the new uniforms have arrived. Meeting at 7 p.m. when Chief Peterson went off duty and Officer Carr came on, the two posed for the T. R. cameraman. The difference in the colors of the two caps is more apparent than real. Officer Carr has a removable rubber top over his cap to ward off the March showers. The violation of traffic rules in parking the police car on the wrong side of the street is temporary. It was placed that way only while the picture was being snapped."
