1940-4-9, "Mother of One Dozen," Volunteer's Coronation Fern (858691) is the foundation cow in the herd of Annie E. Vermilyea, Amity. Last week this purebred Jersey dropped her twelfth calf. She has won many first prizes at the Oregon State Fair and is the dam of first "produce of cow" award for three consecutive years. She is recognized by Jersey breeders as a great brood and show animal.
