NEWBERG—At the Caseldine packing plant apples are peeled, cored and quartered by machine before being shipped to restaurants and hotels in the Portland area. But, it takes human eyes and deft hands to trim the sections as Mrs. Winona Hodson, above, is doing as they pass by on the belt.
